When you live in Daimler's and Porsche's back yard, test cars are as regular accessory to the city's backdrop.
Today's example: a C-Class test mule. The driver, who, given the store it's in front of, stopped off to pick up a döner kebap, was kind enough to leave it on the street for some gawking.
With only very light masking, we can see someone's been playing with headlights, hood lines,
Grills, the front valance, side panels,
Rear lines and tail lights, as well.

Maybe it's the wheels, but I was liking everything till that last shot. The rear just seems weird. Should have a longer rear deck or lesser of an angle for the rear window.

Heres the actual car without disguise (apparently):

That does look to be, nice find.
I like the new language in the E-Class's face. The sport bumper is really sharp on both the sedan and coupe.
But I'm not a big fan of those tail lights. They're too narrow from directly behind:

It feels like they're pulling some of the CLA's rear end lines into the C class, and I'm not a particular fan of the CLA's rear end, either.

That is a big reason I love being around here. MBs are very common in this "pretty much release-ready" stage. Have seen a few much more masked, but they're always on their way somewhere.
Another is just the prevalence of Ferrari, Lamborghini and other more exotic beauties running around getting groceries...

that's one thing I noticed about the big cities in Europe. I saw way more exotics when I was over there

Old money is alive and well friend, that's the only explanation I can find. Given how little a lot of college/graduate degrees cost here, I can kinda see someone in their late 20's with a 50k EUR E-Class coupe... kinda... but someone the young yahoos (and early/mid 30s feels too young for a Ferrari) flying around in these cars makes no sense without there already having been money to spend.

the city I live in in Tennessee had a good amount of old money living in one area. I see a couple mcclarens, an SLS, and some ferraris too
